Question 1

I signed up with Google. Can I also sign in with a password?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to your Profile → Settings → Account tab and tap "Add password to your account". Enter and confirm your new password. After saving, you can sign in with either Google or your email + password — both methods work on the same account.

Question 2

Why is the "Forgot password" email not arriving?

Accepted Answer

There are two common reasons: (1) Your account was created with Google Sign-In — password reset emails do not work for Google accounts. Sign in with Google instead, then add a password from Settings → Account. (2) Too many reset attempts in a short time triggers a temporary block. Wait 15–30 minutes and try again. Also check your spam/junk folder.

Question 3

Why does "Forgot password" show an error for my email?

Accepted Answer

If you signed up using Google, your account does not have a password — Aioby cannot send a reset email for it. Sign in with "Continue with Google" on the sign-in page. Once signed in, you can add a password from Settings → Account if you want email + password login in future.

Question 4

How do I change my password?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → Settings → Account tab → "Change password". Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters), confirm it, and tap "Update Password". You do not need to enter your current password — you are already signed in.

Question 5

How do I change my email address?

Accepted Answer

Email changes require identity verification for security. Please contact support@aioby.com from your current registered email and our team will assist you.

Question 6

I forgot which email I used to sign up.

Accepted Answer

If you signed up with Google, try "Continue with Google" on the sign-in page — it will find your account automatically. If you signed up with email, try your most common email addresses. If you are still stuck, contact support@aioby.com and we can look up your account.

Question 7

Can I have multiple Aioby accounts?

Accepted Answer

Each person should have one Aioby account. You can create multiple stores under one account from your Dashboard. Creating duplicate accounts to bypass limits or moderation is against our Terms of Service.

Question 8

How do I sign out of Aioby?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → Settings → Account tab → "Sign Out of Aioby". On mobile, tap your avatar → Settings → Account → Sign Out.

Question 9

How do I delete my Aioby account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → Settings → Account tab → "Delete Account & Data". Type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your profile, posts, listings, stores, messages, and personal data. Orders are anonymised (not deleted) as required by financial regulations. This action cannot be undone.

Question 10

My account is showing the wrong name or photo after Google sign-in.

Accepted Answer

Aioby pulls your display name and photo from Google on first sign-in. To update them on Aioby independently, go to Profile → Settings → Profile tab and edit your Full Name. To update your profile photo, tap your avatar on your profile page.

Question 11

What is Aioby?

Accepted Answer

Aioby is The Local Network for India and the UAE — connecting people with people, buyers with sellers, customers with businesses, and job seekers with employers, all in one place.

Peringathur Plaza, Peringathur
Kannur, Kerala 670675, India

Question 12

Is Aioby free to use?

Accepted Answer

Question 13

Which countries does Aioby support?

Accepted Answer

Aioby is currently active in India (Kerala-first, expanding nationally) and the UAE. Pricing adjusts automatically based on your location — INR for India, AED for UAE. Orders in both countries are normally paid directly to the seller (cash on delivery, bank transfer or another way the seller accepts); Aioby has no UAE trading licence.

Question 14

How do I create an Aioby account?

Accepted Answer

Go to aioby.com/sign-up and enter your name, email, phone number and password — or tap "Continue with Google" for one-click sign-up. After signing up you will be guided through a short onboarding to set your username, city, and interests.

Question 15

How do I set up my profile?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → Settings → Profile tab. Add your full name, username, bio, city, phone, and website. A complete profile gets more visibility in search results and looks more trustworthy to other users.

Question 16

What is "The Local Network"?

Accepted Answer

"The Local Network" is Aioby's brand identity and category. It means Aioby is a social network built around local communities and local businesses — not a global marketplace, but a neighbourhood-first platform where you discover businesses you can actually walk into, call, or WhatsApp.

Question 17

How does the location filter work?

Accepted Answer

Use the location selector in the header to set your city or district. Aioby will filter listings and businesses near you. Aioby covers all 14 districts of Kerala and key cities in UAE including Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.

Question 18

How do I create a Business Page on Aioby?

Accepted Answer

Question 21

How do I edit or delete a listing?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Listings, find your listing, and tap Edit or Delete. You can also change a listing's status to "inactive" to hide it temporarily without deleting it.

Question 22

Can I have multiple Business Pages on one account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can create and manage multiple Business Pages from the same Aioby account. Switch between them from Dashboard → your business name at the top.

Question 23

How many photos can I add to a listing?

Accepted Answer

Each listing form shows how many photos you can add. For your Business Page gallery, the Free plan allows up to 5 extra photos and Growth or Growth Plus allow up to 15. Photos should be clear, well-lit, and accurately represent the item or service.

Question 24

What is a Verified badge?

Accepted Answer

The Verified badge (✓) means the business has been through Aioby's proof-based verification. It is open to every business on every plan. It is a signal, not a guarantee — Aioby does not verify licences or registrations, so still read reviews and check details. Contact support@aioby.com to start the verification process.

Question 25

How do I get featured placement for my business or listing?

Accepted Answer

Featured placement is bought as a Featured Boost — for a Business Page from ₹9 (7 days), ₹25 (30 days) or ₹149 (365 days), and for a listing from ₹5, ₹15 or ₹99 (launch prices). Boosts put your Business Page or listing into featured rotation; they do not guarantee a top position. Buy one from Dashboard → Featured Boosts. Growth and Growth Plus members get a discount, and Growth Plus includes a free 30-day Boost each month.

Question 26

How do I add Business Page highlights or special sections?

Accepted Answer

From your Business Page dashboard, go to Highlights to pin key listings, offers, or announcements at the top of your Business Page. This is a great way to showcase your best-selling products or current promotions.

Question 27

Someone else has claimed my business on Aioby. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

If your business is listed on Aioby but you did not create it, you can claim it. Go to the Business Page and tap "Claim this business". Our team reviews your proof of ownership and, once it is approved, transfers the Business Page to your account.

Question 28

How do I place an order on Aioby?

Accepted Answer

On any product listing, tap "Add to Cart" or "Buy Now". Review your cart, enter your delivery details, and complete payment. You will receive an order confirmation by email and in your Aioby notifications.

Question 29

What payment methods does Aioby accept?

Accepted Answer

You normally pay the seller directly, in India and the UAE — cash on delivery, bank transfer, or another way the seller accepts (shown on its Business Page or at checkout). Online payment for orders is not generally available: Aioby switches it on only for a few approved sellers, and checkout shows it when it is on. What you buy from Aioby itself (plans, Boosts, ads, wallet, AI credits) is paid through Razorpay.

Question 30

Does Aioby charge a fee on orders or payments?

Accepted Answer

Aioby does not charge a commission or a transaction fee on orders between buyers and sellers. In general Aioby does not collect, hold or pass on the money for an order: the buyer pays the seller directly (cash on delivery, bank transfer or another method the seller accepts). Online payment for orders is not generally available. For a small number of sellers that have asked for it and been approved by Aioby, checkout can take payment online through Razorpay and pass it on to the seller; Aioby adds no fee, and returns and refunds for those orders are still the seller’s responsibility — a refund is sent back to the original payment method once the seller confirms it. Aioby’s own optional paid services — plans, Featured Boosts, ad campaigns, wallet top-ups and AI credits — are paid through Razorpay; the price shown is the price you pay.

Question 31

How do I track my order?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Orders to see all your orders and their current status: Confirmed → Preparing → Shipped → Delivered. You will receive notifications at each stage. Contact the seller directly via Messages if you need more details.

Question 32

How do I cancel an order?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Orders → find your order → Cancel. Orders can be cancelled before the seller confirms preparation. Once an order is in "Preparing" or later status, contact the seller directly to discuss cancellation.

Question 33

How do returns and refunds work?

Accepted Answer

Returns and refunds are handled by the business you bought from, under the policy on its Business Page and listing — Aioby does not set one return window for all sellers. Message the business with your order number and photos. If it does not respond or does not honour its own policy, report the business from its page and Aioby may take action against the seller. See aioby.com/return-policy for details.

Question 34

How do I get a receipt or invoice for my order?

Accepted Answer

An order confirmation email is sent automatically after every purchase. To download an invoice, go to Dashboard → Orders → select your order → Download Invoice.

Question 35

What are Aioby Points?

Accepted Answer

Aioby Points are a loyalty reward system. You earn points for actions on the platform — completing your profile, posting listings, leaving reviews, referring friends, and making purchases. Points can be redeemed for discounts on orders and subscriptions.

Question 36

How do I earn Aioby Points?

Accepted Answer

Points are awarded for: completing your profile (50 pts), posting a listing (10 pts each), leaving a review (15 pts), referring a new user (100 pts), and making a purchase (1 pt per ₹10 spent). The full points table is available in Dashboard → Points.

Question 37

How do I redeem Aioby Points?

At checkout, if you have enough points, an option to apply them as a discount will appear. You can also redeem points from Dashboard → Points → Redeem. Minimum redemption is 100 points (= ₹10 discount).

Question 38

Do Aioby Points expire?

Accepted Answer

Points have no cash value and can only be redeemed within Aioby. If we introduce an expiry for points, we will tell you in advance and it will not apply retroactively to points you have already earned.

Question 39

How do I message a seller or business on Aioby?

Accepted Answer

On any store page or listing, tap the "Message" button to open a direct chat. You can also send an enquiry from a listing page — the seller receives it as a message and can respond directly.

Question 40

How do I contact a business on WhatsApp?

Accepted Answer

If the business has added a WhatsApp number, a WhatsApp button will appear on their store page. Tap it to open a pre-filled WhatsApp conversation. This is outside Aioby's messaging system — it is a direct contact.

Question 41

Can I block someone on Aioby?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open a conversation or profile, tap the three-dot menu (⋯), and select "Block". Blocked users cannot message you, follow you, or see your profile content. You can manage blocked users in Privacy Settings.

Accepted Answer

Yes. Direct messages are private between you and the other party. Aioby does not read your messages except when a message is reported for moderation review, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Question 43

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Accepted Answer

Open the listing and tap the flag icon (⚑) or the "Report" option in the menu. Select the reason (fake, misleading, prohibited, etc.) and submit. The Aioby moderation team reviews reports and may take action against content or sellers that break our rules.

Question 44

How do I report a user or business?

Question 45

Who can see my Aioby profile?

By default, your profile is public — anyone can view your name, bio, city, posts, and listings. You can change this in Profile → Settings → Privacy tab. You can hide your email, phone number, and limit who can message you.

Question 46

How does Aioby protect my personal data?

Accepted Answer

Aioby stores your data securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL with encryption at rest). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our full Privacy Policy at aioby.com/privacy.

Question 47

How do I make my profile private?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy tab and turn off "Public Profile". Your profile will only be visible to people you approve as followers. Your listings will still appear in search results unless you set them to inactive.

Question 48

What plans does Aioby offer?

Accepted Answer

Aioby has a Free plan and two optional paid plans that cover every store you own: Growth (₹29 a month or ₹249 a year — 50 AI credits a month, 15% off Boosts and ads, medium-priority support, help connecting your own domain) and Growth Plus (₹79 a month or ₹599 a year — 100 AI credits a month, 30% off, a free 30-day Boost and ₹40 of ad credit each month, highest-priority support). Individual sellers without a store can choose Individual Premium (₹19 a month or ₹149 a year). Prices are launch prices; the Pricing page always shows the latest.

Question 49

How do I upgrade my Aioby plan?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Subscription, choose your plan and complete payment through Razorpay. You can also choose a plan while creating a store. Renewal is optional and never pre-selected — you choose whether it renews. Plans are available for India and are paid through Razorpay.

Question 50

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard → Subscription and turn off renewal or cancel. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account returns to the Free plan. A first purchase of a plan can be refunded in full within 7 days; after that, the period already used is not refunded. See the Cancellation Policy for Boosts, ads and wallet top-ups.

Question 51

What happens to my listings if I downgrade to the Free plan?

Accepted Answer

Your stores and listings stay live. Paid extras end when the paid period ends: extra AI credits, the Boost and ad discount, the included monthly Boost and ad credit, and the higher store photo limit. Boosts and ad campaigns you already bought keep running until they end.

Question 52

Does Aioby charge a commission on sales?

Accepted Answer

No. Aioby does not charge a commission or transaction fee on orders between buyers and sellers. The only paid options are the optional plans, Featured Boosts, ad campaigns and AI credit bundles.
