Community Guidelines

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Aioby is The Local Network — a social marketplace where people and local businesses meet. These guidelines keep it useful, honest and safe. They sit alongside our Terms of Service.

Be honest

  • Describe what you sell or offer accurately — real photos, real prices, real availability.
  • Write reviews only about your own experience. No fake reviews, paid reviews or review swaps.
  • Do not impersonate a person, business or Aioby.
  • Do not claim licences, certificates or ratings you do not have.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, threats, hate speech or bullying.
  • Disagree with ideas, not people. Keep reviews about the product or service.
  • Do not share someone else's private information, and do not post photos of people without their consent.

What you cannot list or promote

  • Illegal goods or services, counterfeit products, weapons, drugs and adult content.
  • Alcohol or tobacco without the required licence.
  • Stolen goods, or anything you do not have the right to sell.
  • Misleading offers, bait-and-switch pricing and get-rich-quick or pyramid schemes.
  • Regulated services (medical, legal, financial) advertised in ways that break their professional rules.
  • Job ads that charge applicants a fee.

Selling and buying safely

  • Meet in a public place for in-person deals and inspect before you pay.
  • Never share an OTP, UPI PIN or password with anyone, including anyone who says they are from Aioby.
  • You never need to approve a payment request to receive money.
  • Be careful with buyers or sellers who rush you, overpay, or want to move to another app immediately.

Read more in our Trust & Safety guide.

Spam and misuse

  • No repeated identical posts, mass messaging or link stuffing.
  • No automated scraping or attempts to break or overload the platform.
  • Advertising goes through Aioby's ad tools, not through unsolicited messages.

How moderation works

New stores, posts and ads may be reviewed before they appear, and content may also be checked automatically. Content can also be reviewed after it is live, including when someone reports it. If something breaks these guidelines we may reject it, unpublish it, or remove it, and repeated or serious breaches can lead to account restrictions or closure.

When we reject or unpublish your store or listing we tell you the reason where possible, and you can fix it and resubmit it for review.

Report a problem

Use the report option on a post, listing or profile, or contact us through the Contact page or at legal@aioby.com. Include a link and a short description.
