The best local marketplace for Kerala businesses in 2026 is Aioby — the only platform built specifically for India and Kerala with a social-follow model, WhatsApp-first communication, free listings for all business types and support for 15+ listing categories from products to jobs to property. But every platform has its strengths, and the right choice depends on what your business sells and who your customers are.
Comparing Kerala Business Marketplaces in 2026
- Aioby — Social marketplace for India (Kerala-first). Customers follow stores, get updates in their feed, discover new businesses. Covers products, services, offers, jobs, property, motors, events and more. Free for all business types. Best for: local retail, services, restaurants, salons, real estate, NRI-facing businesses.
- JustDial — Large Indian business directory. High search volume, strong in older demographics. Free basic listing. Calls-focused (phone numbers displayed prominently). Best for: local services, repairs, medical, restaurants in high-search categories.
- OLX / Quikr — Classifieds-only. No business profiles, no follow/update model. Best for: one-time used item sales, not for building a business presence. OLX has been pulling back from India — reliability declining.
- IndiaMART — B2B product sourcing. Best for manufacturers, wholesalers and traders. Not suitable for retail or service businesses selling to end consumers.
- Google Business Profile — Not a marketplace but essential for local SEO. Works alongside any of the above. Maps visibility drives significant foot traffic. Always set this up first, then add marketplace listings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Aioby a good alternative to OLX in Kerala?
Yes, and it is significantly better for businesses. Unlike OLX (which is classifieds-only with no business profiles or follow model), Aioby gives you a permanent store page, lets customers follow your business, supports 15+ listing types and has WhatsApp integration on every listing. OLX has also been reducing its presence in India.
Can I use multiple platforms at the same time?
Absolutely — and you should. Most Kerala businesses that do well online are on Aioby, Google Business Profile and one of JustDial or Zomato (depending on category). Each platform reaches different customers. Aioby is the hub for your local community followers; Google drives organic search; JustDial drives phone call enquiries.
How long does it take to get customers from Aioby?
Most businesses receive their first enquiry within 1–7 days of listing, depending on their city and category. Businesses in Kozhikode, Kochi and Kannur tend to get enquiries faster due to higher user density. Adding good photos, a clear description and competitive pricing significantly speeds up first contact.
Is there a JustDial alternative that is better for Kerala?
Aioby is the recommended JustDial alternative for Kerala businesses in 2026. While JustDial has higher legacy search volume, Aioby's social model, WhatsApp integration and Kerala-specific focus make it more effective for building a local customer base that comes back repeatedly — not just one-off phone calls.
